We are looking for a carpenter for work in shipbuilding, vessel servicing, and maintenance. The job includes the production, installation, adjustment, and repair of carpentry elements on vessels, work with teak and teak decks, installation of interiors, cladding, floors, doors, cabinets, and furniture, finishing of wooden surfaces, and, if needed, upholstery and restoration of upholstered elements.

We expect candidates to have experience in carpentry work, knowledge of working with hand, electric, and carpentry tools, precision, responsibility, and neatness in work. Experience in nautical industry, working with teak, restoration of teak decks, grouting, sanding, repairs of wooden surfaces, and upholstery is an advantage.

We offer paid accommodation, provided work clothing, tools and equipment for work, a mobile phone for work purposes, and long-term cooperation in a stable company in the nautical sector.

The starting salary for a candidate with approximately 2 to 3 years of experience is 1,300 € net. For candidates with greater experience, knowledge, and independence in work, the salary can be higher than 1,500 € net, with the possibility of bonuses. Overtime work is additionally paid 50% more.

Description of some of the tasks - Carpenter in shipbuilding and vessel servicing

  • production, installation, and adjustment of wooden elements on vessels
  • work with teak, including production, installation, repairs, and restoration of teak decks
  • repairs and replacement of damaged teak parts and other wooden elements
  • sanding, cleaning, grouting, and finishing of teak surfaces
  • installation of interiors, cladding, floors, doors, cabinets, and furniture on vessels
  • repairs and modifications of existing carpentry elements
  • upholstery and restoration of upholstered elements on vessels
  • production, repair, and installation of cushions, coverings, seats, and other upholstered parts
  • cutting, processing, sanding, and final preparation of wooden surfaces
  • installation and adjustment of equipment, fittings, and finishing elements
  • work according to drawings, measurements, and supervisors' instructions
  • use of hand, electric, and carpentry tools
  • maintaining tidiness of the workspace and complying with occupational safety rules
