FROM MARCH: Travel Across the Entire State for One Euro a Day

The transport association that coordinates local public transport in Stuttgart, Verkehrs‐und Tarifverbund Stuttgart GmbH (VVS), announced that starting in March they are introducing a public transport ticket that will cost one euro per day.

“Young people will soon travel across the federal state of Baden-Württemberg for one euro per day, which is 365 euros per year. On March 1, 2023, the exceptionally inexpensive VVS-JugendTicketBW will be introduced in the VVS for the entire state,” VVS stated.

The ticket will be valid 24 hours a day

As VVS stated, the VVS-JugendTicketBW ticket will be valid 24 hours a day on local transport (2nd class) throughout Baden-Württemberg.

It will be available as an annual subscription that can be paid monthly.

All persons up to and including the age of 20 will be eligible for this ticket. Persons training for professions related to the transport sector (pupils, students, trainees, interns, volunteers, etc.) will also be entitled to it with proof up to the age of 26.

Price of the JugendTicketBW

Entire Baden-Württemberg 30.42 per month

We remind you that all residents of Germany will be entitled to a monthly ticket of 49 euros for local public transport. The ticket should be valid from May 1, and it should already go on sale in April.
