The Koprivnica-based food company Podravka Group has launched a new recruitment campaign under the recognizable slogan 'I stay home, I choose Podravka', which invites citizens to remain in their homeland and choose a domestic company.

A job posting has been opened for multiple positions for the role of operator on production lines (m/f). These are jobs in the company's factories themselves, and the place of work is Koprivnica.

This initiative comes at a time when many young and skilled people are seeking opportunities beyond the borders of their homeland, so domestic companies are increasingly investing in attracting and retaining the workforce by offering stable working conditions.

Work on production lines and daily tasks

New employees will have a key role in creating products that citizens use every day. The job includes direct work on production lines and machines, which in layman's terms means managing and supervising processes that turn raw materials into finished food products. In addition, workers will also perform various auxiliary tasks such as packaging finished products and cleaning the workspace. The company is looking for new female and male colleagues for production work and is hiring multiple people, thereby ensuring the stability of the work process in one of the largest Croatian companies.

Application requirements and sought qualifications

In order to ensure production quality, the company is looking for diligent and reliable people. Candidates are primarily expected to have completed secondary vocational education. Although it is desirable for candidates to have vocational qualifications as a food technician or food machinery operator, this is not a strictly limiting requirement.

Work experience in a similar industrial environment is considered an advantage, but it also is not a requirement.

Given the nature of the job in large factories, future workers are expected to be ready to work in shifts, as well as to demonstrate a high level of responsibility and accuracy in performing daily tasks.

What does the company offer future employees?

The conditions offered by the employer are aimed at long-term employee retention. All selected candidates will receive their first fixed-term employment contract lasting six months. That contract includes a probation period of two months. What is particularly attractive is the highlighted possibility of later establishing permanent employment, thus offering long-term security.

The financial package offers several benefits. Workers are offered a basic gross salary, which is additionally increased by special supplements depending on working conditions. In addition, employees receive a monthly net salary supplement and compensation for transportation costs to work. The employer also provides meals at its own expense and pays funds into the third pension pillar for an additional safety net in old age. Workers are also entitled to vacation allowance, a Christmas bonus, an Easter bonus, and other benefits prescribed by the Collective Agreement.

Simple application process

All interested candidates can apply quickly and easily. Applications are accepted via email at natjecaj@podravka.hr. For candidates who prefer to come in person, they can directly leave their application with their basic information including first name, last name, and contact phone number at Podravka's East Gate. This entrance is located by the large parking lot next to the Discount Store in Koprivnica.

Podravka, as one of the historical pillars of the Croatian economy, once again shows through this job posting that a stable career can be successfully built at home as well. Such job postings are not just an ordinary employment opportunity, but also an important step in strengthening the local community and the demographic renewal of the region. Given that the food industry is considered globally and locally to be one of the most resilient branches of the economy, working in such a large system brings peace and security in otherwise uncertain economic times. Initiatives that offer clear possibilities of transitioning to permanent employment, along with numerous financial supplements and social benefits, set a good standard in the domestic labor market and provide a strong incentive for citizens to plan their professional and private future precisely in Croatia.
