Slovenian salaries grew faster

After accounting for price growth, the Slovenian average net salary increased in real terms by 5%, and the Croatian one by 2.4%. In other words, in both countries the average salary could cover more costs than a year earlier, but the improvement was more pronounced in Slovenia.
However, compared with July, a decline

When prices are taken into account, the purchasing power of the average net salary decreased in both countries, by 0.5% in Slovenia and by 0.2% in Croatia.
Large differences behind the average
Within Slovenia, earnings are not uniform. The average net salary in the public sector amounted to 1,928.93 euros, and in the private sector 1,574.19 euros. The private sector was thus considerably closer to the Croatian overall average than to the Slovenian public sector.
