The Federal Statistical Office in Germany has published a list of average monthly gross salaries for 50 different professions.

According to a report by Fenix Magazin, hairdressers who are permanently employed receive an average gross salary of 1778 euros per month, while motor vehicle mechatronics technicians earn significantly more with an average salary of 3204 euros, which is about 1400 euros above the average.

The overall average gross salary of all the listed professions is 4,105 euros.

Caregivers earn less than average, with a gross salary of 3559 euros per month. Among the best-paid professions are doctors with an average gross salary of 7706 euros, lawyers with 8405 euros, and pilots with 8739 euros.

Higher education also brings higher pay

In terms of education, employees with completed vocational training earn an average of 3521 euros gross per month. Those without vocational qualifications earn less, with a salary of 2817 euros. People with a bachelor's degree earn an average of 4551 euros, while those with a master's degree average 6188 euros per month, which is approximately 1600 euros more. Employees with a doctorate have the highest average salary of 8687 euros.
