PIK Vrbovec, one of the best-known meat industries in Croatia, in the midst of the current strike has launched a major recruitment campaign, seeking more than one hundred new workers, mainly for warehouse and production jobs.
According to the job posting, candidates are only required to have completed primary school, while previous work experience is not a condition. The jobs include shift work. Warehouse workers work in three shifts, and production workers in two shifts, with the obligation to work weekends and holidays. All contracts are fixed-term.
The starting salary is 970 euros gross, which corresponds to the legally guaranteed minimum wage in Croatia and after deductions amounts to around 750 euros net. In addition to warehouse and production workers, PIK is also hiring cooks and auxiliary kitchen staff, and all positions are located at the company's headquarters in Vrbovec, writes Index.hr.
In the advertisement, the company highlights its long tradition and leading position on the Croatian market, where it covers almost 40 percent of demand for red meat and meat products. They also proudly state that they employ around 1,800 people, and that they offer employees opportunities for education, advancement, and incentive bonuses alongside regular income. Also, PIK regularly organizes internal training and enables participation in professional seminars and conferences.
This move comes at a time when the industry is facing a strike, which further emphasizes the importance and urgency of filling the positions. More information about the job posting and working conditions is available in the original article on the Index.hr portal.
