Caregivers Wanted in Germany for In-Home Care Without Medical Services

A Croatian company has opened a job posting for a larger number of employees who are ready to work in Germany in the position of live-in caregiver (m/f).

This offer stands out in the labor market due to transparent conditions, provided accommodation, and earnings that reach a net amount of 2,300 euros. These earnings in Germany are significantly above average for similar positions, such as those you will find in our region.

The listing expires on January 27, 2026.

What exactly does the work of a live-in caregiver include?

Many people often confuse the job of home care with medical services, but here it is about providing support in everyday life. A caregiver actually becomes the right hand of an elderly or disabled person. The main tasks include assistance with maintaining personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility, such as support when getting up or walking up stairs.

In addition to direct care for the person, the job also involves running the household. This means that the worker prepares meals, goes grocery shopping, takes care of the cleanliness of the apartment, and performs laundry washing and ironing tasks. An important part of everyday life is also the social aspect, so the worker is expected to accompany the client on walks or to scheduled doctor appointments.

A clear distinction from the medical profession

It is important to emphasize that this listing is not intended exclusively for medical staff because the job does not include medical treatments. In practice, this means that the caregiver must not and does not need to give injections, dress open wounds, or administer infusions. Such tasks are performed by professional medical services, while the worker focuses exclusively on household assistance and basic care.

Requirements candidates must meet

For a candidate to be successful in the application, knowledge of the German language at a minimum B1 level is required. This level implies that the person can communicate independently about everyday topics and understand the client's needs. As for education, candidates with completed primary or secondary school are acceptable, provided they have previous experience in elderly care. Although holding a category B driver's license is an advantage in employment, it is not a strict requirement for getting the job.

Benefits and security for workers

One of the greatest advantages of this engagement is the fact that the employment relationship is established in Croatia, while the work is performed abroad. The employer fully covers travel costs in both directions, which eliminates initial costs for the worker. Also, since accommodation and food are provided in the client's household, workers do not have the usual living costs of rent and utilities, which means the entire salary amount remains as pure savings.

In addition to financial stability, the agency also provides continuous support during the journey and the stay itself in Germany, ensuring that workers feel safe and cared for at their workplace.

How to apply?
