Croatian Post Raises Salaries Again and Opens 70 New Jobs

Croatian Post is once again increasing wages while simultaneously hiring new workers.

According to information available to the portal danica.hr, several job postings are currently open through which a total of 70 employees are being sought across Croatia. The highest number of vacancies is open in Zagreb and Split. There they are looking for postal workers, offering them a starting gross salary of 1,255 euros, while in Velika Gorica and Solin they are hiring transport workers whose gross earnings amount to 1,195 euros.

At the end of last year, the company employed around 8,800 workers, placing it among the largest employers in the country. Only Konzum has a larger number of employees, with more than ten thousand people. Last year, almost 1,300 workers left the company, so new positions were opened to replace the staff.

The average net salary at Croatian Post last year amounted to around 1,270 euros, which is significantly higher compared to the previous year. During 2024, salaries in operational jobs, such as delivery workers and drivers, were increased on three occasions, which brought employees a total raise of 20 percent. According to projections, the average salary this year could rise by an additional 200 euros.

The company further motivates its people through special bonuses. Postal workers, drivers, and newspaper delivery workers who stay until the end of the year are paid a bonus of 1,200 euros. Croatian Post generated revenue of 322 million euros last year, representing growth of 19 percent compared to the previous year. Net profit doubled and reached 31 million euros.

New projects and investments of Croatian Post

Croatian Post is rapidly investing in the digitalization of its services in order to enable users faster and simpler communication. Special emphasis has been placed on the development of a new mobile application that allows citizens to track shipments in real time, pay bills, and use additional services without going to a post office.

In recent years, the company has begun renovating post offices in rural areas. This aims to reduce unequal access to services and make it easier for residents of smaller places to have better connectivity.

One of the important advances is also the development of a parcel locker network. Croatian Post currently enables parcel pickup 24 hours a day at more than two hundred locations in Croatia. The network is expected to expand further because this form of delivery is becoming increasingly popular among users.

Special attention is also focused on caring for employees through training programs. Workers are regularly sent to training sessions and seminars in order to acquire new knowledge about digital tools and improve communication with users. Such an approach should contribute to greater efficiency and better service quality.

Croatian Post is also actively involved in sustainable development projects. Electric vehicles are being gradually introduced into the fleet system, and emphasis is also placed on reducing paper bills by encouraging users to use e-documents. In this way, the company seeks to reduce its carbon footprint and contribute to environmental protection.
