The well-known confectionery company Ferrero, recognized in Croatia for brands such as Nutella and Kinder, achieved significant growth in revenue and profit last year, primarily thanks to price increases for its products on the domestic and regional markets.

According to the annual report, the Zagreb branch of that Italian multinational generated 191 million euros in revenue during the past year, representing growth of 18 percent compared to the previous year, writes Danica.hr.

Ferrero's net profit in Croatia amounted to 4.8 million euros, which is an impressive improvement of 45 percent compared to the year before. It is particularly interesting that sales of key products such as Nutella and Kinder sweets on the domestic market reached 59 million euros, while revenues in neighboring countries amounted to 146 million euros. All the stated figures refer to revenue without customer discounts included.

The number of employees in the Zagreb company remained stable, at around 50 workers, but significant progress was recorded in the amount of the average net salary. In the past year it exceeded 3,000 euros, which means an increase of as much as 25 percent or 600 euros more compared to the previous period, states the Financial Agency in its report.

At the global level, the Ferrero group reported consolidated revenue of 18.4 billion euros in the business year running from September 1 to August 31, which is growth of nine percent compared to the year before. Ferrero currently operates 37 factories worldwide and employs almost 48 thousand people.

These positive business trends have positioned Ferrero as one of the most attractive companies in the food industry sector in the region, while the high salary increases further confirm its strong status as an employer that invests in its employees.
