Employees of the clothing store “Hot Topic Company” from Minnesota all resigned from their employer at the same time because he did not want to raise their wages.

Since the employer could not quickly find new employees, he had to close the store, at least temporarily.

– We talked and negotiated several times, but it had no effect, the employees said.

On the store's Twitter profile, they said goodbye to their employer, telling him that they had worked hard, but with his pay they could not support themselves and their families.

Unfortunately, despite the high inflation rate, wages do not adjust automatically. In Germany, the current average net salary is around 2,084 euros per month.

Although wages increased on average compared to the previous year, inflation “eats up” wage growth, writes Tagesspiegel. Despite all this, employees' purchasing power has decreased.
