German Employer Steps In: Pays Over €9,000 Fine for Employee

An unusual story about interpersonal relationships and an extraordinary move by an employer comes from Germany, where one boss showed exceptional loyalty and solidarity toward his employee by paying a huge fine amounting to more than 9,000 euros.
It all took place at the Oberwiesenthal border crossing, where federal police officers were routinely checking a 49-year-old German citizen, writes Fenix Magazin. During the check, it was established that the man, who was traveling, had an outstanding order to pay a fine issued by the Berlin public prosecutor's office.
As the police later confirmed, the worker owed more than nine thousand euros due to the offense of driving without a license. Faced with the inability to pay that debt immediately, which could have resulted in considerable inconvenience, the 49-year-old turned to his employer for help.
His boss responded promptly to the call for help. According to the statement by the German police, the employer went to Berlin and paid the full amount of the fine for his employee there. The debt was thus settled, and the worker, thanks to the unexpected financial intervention of his superior, was able to immediately continue his journey without further delays at the border.
This move by the Berlin employer serves as a rare example of exceptional collegiality and support in the workplace, far exceeding usual professional relationships.
