The grape harvest season has begun, and winegrowers and wineries across Croatia are looking for additional workers.
The harvest usually lasts from August until the end of September, depending on the grape variety, area, and weather conditions.
According to currently open listings on the Croatian Employment Service website, more than 100 workers are being sought for grape harvesting, vineyard work, and related jobs. The salary amount is not stated in any of the reviewed listings.
The jobs mainly include manual harvesting, carrying and washing crates, and assisting in grape processing.
The most workers are being sought in Kutjevo
The largest number of workers, 50 of them, is being sought by the Krauthaker winery for manual grape harvesting in Kutjevo. Work experience is not required, and the job is carried out through value vouchers for seasonal work in agriculture. Accommodation is not provided, while transport costs are partially reimbursed. The listing is open until September 9.

Six workers are being sought in Mihanići in Dubrovnik-Neretva County, with shared accommodation provided. One worker is being sought in Plastovo in Šibenik-Knin County.
Experience is generally not required
For most jobs, previous experience is not a requirement, and pensioners can also apply for several listings. However, the conditions differ because some employers offer accommodation or transport compensation, while others offer neither.

At least years of experience, basic knowledge of wine and wine production, a category B driver's license, and knowledge of English are required. The employer provides shared accommodation.
