05/21/2025

Konzum, the largest domestic retail chain and part of the Fortenova Group, continues to invest in its employees.
This year they are investing an additional 26 million euros in salary increases, and over the past two and a half years they have invested a total of 77 million euros in higher earnings. The increases were implemented on two occasions, in January and May, and included workers in stores, logistics, online sales, and administration. On average, gross salaries increased by 20 percent, or between 200 and 240 euros per employee.
The President of the Management Board of Konzum, Zoran Mitreski, pointed out that the average net salary in the company now amounts to 1220 euros per month, and it is expected to continue growing. He emphasized how important employees are to the company’s success and that their effort and knowledge are constantly being rewarded.
This is his statement: “Konzum’s business is driven by people, 10 thousand female and male colleagues whose knowledge, effort, and excellence we value and strive to reward continuously. Year after year, as a company, we improve the working conditions of our people, they are aware of that and give back to us day by day. At the same time, the perception of our customers and the general public about how responsible Konzum is as a retailer, but also as an employer, is important to us.”
In addition to the basic salary, employees receive numerous benefits: an Easter bonus, a Christmas bonus, a gift for a child, service awards, a newborn allowance, a meal allowance, transportation, and a reward for good work. These benefits bring employees about 290 euros net more each month.
In addition to financial benefits, Konzum also offers employees other perks. This includes supplementary health insurance, employee discounts, a day off for parents of first graders on the first day of school, and opportunities for additional education and professional development.
With these investments, Konzum wants to show that it cares about its employees and confirm its position as a responsible and desirable employer in Croatia.
