Major Food Company Raises Workers’ Net Salaries to €2,800

The well-known Croatian company Nestlé Adriatic, part of the global food giant Nestlé, achieved impressive growth last year, with revenues reaching 81 million euros, representing an increase of 14% compared to the previous year. The company operates in the markets of Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, and North Macedonia, states danica.hr.

Net profit amounted to 1.8 million euros, which is 11% more than the previous year. Particularly significant is the increase in salaries, with the average net salary for around 120 employees at the Zagreb headquarters amounting to almost 2,800 euros last year, which is 340 euros more than in 2023, according to data from the Financial Agency.

At the global level, Swiss Nestlé achieved total sales of 91.35 billion Swiss francs last year (around 86 billion euros), with organic growth of 2.2%. The biggest contribution to growth came precisely from the coffee, confectionery, and pet food segments. Nestlé Adriatic participates in the company's total sales with a share of around 0.1%.

For comparison, Nestlé's total sales last year were as much as three times higher than the amount of the Croatian state budget for 2023, which further confirms the strength and influence of this food leader in the global market.
