A Croatian woman who lives and works in Germany complained on social media that some individuals in her homeland think she is underpaid. As she stated, she works 80 percent of full-time hours and earns between 1,700 and 1,800 euros per month.

As she stated in her post, she has been in Germany since 2017 and has never been unemployed. She worked as a cleaner, household help, and cared for elderly people. She said that her situation is good, that she has no debts, and that she knows how to manage money.

“Our mentality is terrible”

“Some individuals in my homeland think I am poorly paid, because in Germany you must have a salary of 2,500 euros no matter what you do, since all jobs are well paid. Our mentality is terrible,” she stated.

She currently works in the care system and says that she again had a discussion about salaries.
