The Government of Serbia is increasing the minimum hourly wage from 371 to 405 dinars net starting from the beginning of 2027.

That is 34 dinars, or about 29 cents, more for every hour worked.

As reported by N1 Serbia, the decision on the increase was published in the local Official Gazette.

Serbia officially sets a minimum hourly wage, not a fixed monthly minimum wage. However, based on the average number of working hours, the new minimum wage would amount to around 70,470 dinars net per month, or approximately 600 euros.

The current minimum wage averages 64,554 dinars or about 550 euros per month, so this is an increase of approximately 50 euros. Per hour, the amount will rise from 3.16 to 3.45 euros.

The increase amounts to 9.2 percent, but employers and unions were unable to reach an agreement on it. As many as 46 percent of surveyed employers were against the increase, while unions believe that the rise in the minimum wage should be higher.

The conversion from dinars to euros was made according to the exchange rate of the National Bank of Serbia on August 20, according to which one euro is worth 117.3586 dinars.

In Croatia, the amount of the minimum wage for 2027 is still an open question. The Government will discuss in October how much the minimum wage in Croatia will amount to during 2027, and before making a decision it will talk with employers and unions, net.hr reported. Croatia’s minimum wage currently amounts to 1,050 euros gross, or about 800 euros net, while it is not yet known how much it will increase from the beginning of 2027.
