05/14/2025

Zagrebačka banka, the largest financial institution in Croatia, recently announced data on the earnings of its management board members, including generous bonuses for successful business performance during the past year.
According to official information, Management Board President Dalibor Ćubela was proposed an annual bonus for 2024 in the gross amount of 556,000 euros. However, since Ćubela took over the head of the bank only at the beginning of July last year, he is entitled to half of that amount, or 278,000 euros, the portal danica.hr.
When all of Ćubela's income is taken into account, regular salary, bonus, non-taxable income, company car, insurance policies, and allocated shares, the calculation shows that in 2024 he earned an average of around 103,000 euros gross per month.
Significant bonuses for other Management Board members as well
In addition to the Management Board President, a significant bonus is also planned for Slaven Rukavina, the Management Board member in charge of retail. According to the proposal, Rukavina was approved an annual bonus in the amount of 238,000 euros gross. On average, his total monthly income, including salary, bonuses, shares, and other benefits, amounted to just over 42,000 euros gross.
The decision is made by the Shareholders' Assembly
The final amount of the bonus will be decided by the general shareholders' assembly of Zagrebačka banka, scheduled for June 11. At that time, all proposals related to rewarding the management board for the results achieved in the previous year will be confirmed.
The publication of this data once again confirmed how high the earnings of leading people in the largest Croatian companies are, especially when business results exceed expectations.
