Karlovac Pays Christmas Bonuses: €350 for City Administration, €50 for Lower Pensioners
11/10/2025

Judging by the recently published decisions, the City of Karlovac is showing an admirable level of social sensitivity and care for its employees this year.
Amid discussions about budget allocations for the holidays, the Karlovac city administration confirmed for RTL that significant amounts will be paid out in the form of Christmas bonuses to two key groups of citizens, the administration's own employees and pensioners.
According to confirmed information, the employees of the City Administration of Karlovac, 165 of them in total, can count on a generous financial boost ahead of the holidays. Each of them will receive a Christmas bonus in the amount of 350 euros, writes net.hr. This move reflects continuity in rewarding the work of administrative staff, given that the same amount was paid out in the previous year as well.
However, the City's generosity did not stop only with its own officials. As in previous years, funds have also been secured in the budget for the most vulnerable population, pensioners. Karlovac has decided to focus on those citizens most affected by the rising cost of living, defining a clear threshold for payment.
Specifically, all pensioners residing in the area of the city of Karlovac whose monthly pension does not exceed 500 euros will receive a Christmas bonus of 50 euros. In this way, targeted assistance is provided to pensioners with the lowest incomes, enabling them to cope more easily with holiday expenses.
This combined measure, which includes generous amounts for employees and social support for pensioners with smaller pensions, positions Karlovac as a city that successfully balances rewarding work and providing support to socially vulnerable groups, thus confirming its financial generosity this year.
