After the end of her presidential term, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović successfully ventured into entrepreneurship.
In November 2022, she founded the company KGK Advising & Professional Services, specializing in business consulting, market research, speech communication training, and the organization of seminars and promotional events.
According to official data from the Financial Agency (FINA), the company's operations in 2024 were marked by strong growth. Revenue increased by almost 58 percent compared to the previous year, reaching 346,171 euros, while profit after taxation jumped by 71 percent, to 251,325 euros.
Grabar-Kitarović is the director and the only employee of the company, and her monthly salary amounts to 839 euros, which is relatively modest considering the profit achieved.
In its first year of operation, although it was active for only two months, the company generated turnover of 28,433 euros and profit of 24,739 euros. In 2023, revenue amounted to 219,421 euros, and profit to 146,982 euros, confirming the growth trend that continued in 2024.
It is interesting to point out that during the 2019 presidential campaign, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović publicly spoke about the potential of remote work and high earnings for Croatian citizens. At an election rally in Osijek on December 15, 2019, she stated:
"I claim that this is possible because I already have agreements with some countries, for our Croats to go for training somewhere else and return to Croatia, to work via the internet in another country, and in Croatia earn eight thousand euros. Imagine what that means for our young people."
This statement caused a strong reaction in the public and the media. While some gathered at the rally greeted her words with applause, criticism and mockery prevailed in the public and on social media because of unrealistic promises and unclear details about the job itself. Many commented that it was an unattainable promise, and the statement soon became the subject of jokes, parodies, and remixes on the internet.
After leaving the head of state position, Grabar-Kitarović became a member of the International Olympic Committee in 2020, where she serves on a voluntary basis. According to creditworthiness data, the company KGK Advising & Professional Services operates properly, without tax debts or account freezes, and is positioning itself as a reliable partner in the business consulting sector.
These results confirm that Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, even after her political career, achieved significant success in the business services market, writes tportal.hr.
